Associate Client Engagement Manager (Medical Communications)

Location: Remote, home-based in Canada; limited travel required for client meetings, advisory boards, congresses, and speaker programs.

Compensation: CAD 80,000–93,000 annually.

What you will do

• Support day-to-day client communications as a secondary contact for assigned projects under the guidance of a Client Engagement Director.
• Assist with medical publications and medical communications projects from initiation through completion.
• Develop and maintain project briefs, timelines, scopes of work, status updates, meeting materials, action items, and project records.
• Coordinate activities across Scientific, Creative, Editorial, and other internal capability teams while tracking deliverables, milestones, risks, and delays.
• Support budget tracking, forecasting, reconciliations, scope changes, and change orders.
• Maintain publication records in Datavision or similar platforms, support MLR review submissions in systems such as Veeva, and review materials for accuracy, completeness, client feedback, SOPs, compliance standards, and industry regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Communications, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred.
• 3–5+ years of experience in medical communications, medical education, pharma marketing, or related fields.
• Foundational understanding of the life sciences industry and medical communications environment.
• Familiarity with medical publication processes and industry guidelines, plus working knowledge of publication management tools such as Datavision.
• Strong organizational, time-management, written, verbal, interpersonal, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality, accuracy, and compliance; ability to follow processes and identify when to escalate issues.
• Willingness to learn and grow into increased client and financial responsibility, with the ability to adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

• Familiarity with project management tools and document submission systems such as Veeva PromoMats.
