Staff Product Manager (Private Cloud Director)

Location: Remote, U.S. only (San Jose, CA)

Salary: $210,000–$235,000 per year

What you will do

• Define and lead product strategy for private cloud infrastructure across virtualization and bare-metal platforms.
• Work with customers and users to understand operational processes, pain points, use cases, and product gaps.
• Research virtualization and container orchestration trends and translate insights into innovative product solutions.
• Own the product roadmap, define customer engagement and product success metrics, and report results to management.
• Partner with engineering, sales, and marketing on product execution, feature enablement, customer deployment, and adoption.
• Create customer-facing best practices, reference architectures, training materials, and public product documentation.

Requirements

• MS in Computer Science or an equivalent degree, with at least four years of experience building enterprise software products.
• Basic knowledge of virtualization and technologies such as VMware and Linux/KVM.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to lead through influence, manage multiple high-priority projects, and execute against strict deadlines.
• Customer-focused approach with an interest in discovering use cases, identifying product gaps, and resolving issues.
• Passion for cloud technologies and experience working on complex, ambiguous problems.

Nice to have

• Background in virtualization, containerization, or private/public cloud.
• Experience in product management, sales engineering, or customer success.
