Senior Product Manager (Virtualization)

Location: Morrisville, North Carolina, United States, or San Jose, California, United States; hybrid working environment with in-office and/or in-person expectations.

Target salary range: 196,350–292,600 USD annually in on-target earnings, including potential commission.

What you will do

• Own product strategy, business goals, growth targets, and roadmaps for virtualization products and platform portfolios.
• Translate market analysis, competitive insights, customer requirements, and use cases into PRFAQs, prioritization decisions, and product lifecycle plans.
• Define virtualization value propositions covering performance, total cost of ownership, feature differentiation, and go-to-market enablement.
• Build technical and business alignment with hypervisor, hyperscaler, ISV, services, sales, channel, and customer partners.
• Lead cross-functional execution across Product, Engineering, Sales, Legal, Finance, Support, and Marketing to deliver quality releases on schedule.
• Represent virtualization products as a subject matter authority, enable internal and partner communities, and track adoption, expansion, retention, and business KPIs.

Requirements

• Proven product line strategy and roadmap ownership experience, including inbound and outbound product management.
• Significant hands-on experience with multiple industry-leading hypervisors, VM lifecycle management, live migration, resource scheduling, hybrid cloud, and service provider environments.
• Knowledge of Broadcom/VMware, Microsoft, Red Hat, SUSE, and Nutanix virtualization ecosystems, plus experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong foundation in storage and data management, including replication, migration, protection, and governance; experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with 12+ years of relevant experience, including 8+ years in product management, product marketing, consulting, or business operations.
• At least 5 years of virtualization experience and preferably 8+ years in the vendor-side storage or data management industry.

Nice to have

• MBA or advanced technical degree.
• Familiarity with hirify.global products and the competitive landscape.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL, SAP HANA, Oracle Database, public cloud, or service providers.
