What you will do

• Drive performance improvements for defined polymer commodities in Japan.
• Lead purchasing activities and conduct annual supplier negotiations to meet saving targets.
• Manage and align the local supplier panel with global commodity buyers.
• Develop and execute material purchasing strategies.
• Support new project launches and provide escalation support for plant, quality, and logistics functions.
• Monitor supplier capabilities and market trends within the Japanese market.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or higher required.
• 3+ years of experience in purchasing or as a buyer.
• Fluent in both English and Japanese.
• Working knowledge of business systems such as SAP.
• Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
• Experience working in a global company environment is a plus.
