What you will do

• Drive performance improvement for the assigned commodity in Japan.
• Lead purchasing activities with commodity buyers across Japan.
• Monitor supplier capabilities and market trends, manage the supplier panel, and align with the Global Commodity Buyer.
• Develop material purchasing strategies and participate in supplier nominations for key projects.
• Conduct annual supplier negotiations to achieve savings targets and manage supply chain risks.
• Support supplier transfers to low-cost countries, new project launches, and escalations from plants, supplier quality, logistics, and other functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• At least 3 years of purchasing or buyer experience.
• Working knowledge of business systems such as SAP.
• Fluent English and Japanese required.
• Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or a global company is advantageous.
