Senior Visual Database Lead (Geospatial)

What you will do

• Lead the development of real-time geospatial database content for simulation and training.
• Design, develop, and implement GIS, 3D modeling, visualization, and imagery-processing solutions.
• Execute projects through the full development lifecycle, from requirements definition through customer acceptance.
• Delegate, prioritize, and oversee development tasks while providing technical guidance to the team.
• Manage assignments within agreed budgets, schedules, organizational processes, and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to solve technical and delivery challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Earth Science, a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
• Background in image science, photogrammetry, remote sensing/data fusion, geo-imaging/processing, or spectral/imagery analysis.
• Experience with aerial and satellite imagery, elevation data, vector data, GIS, 3D models, and image cleanup or color correction.
• Experience with project execution, scheduling, cost account management, earned value management, and business processes.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer-facing, problem-solving, delegation, and prioritization skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of project management and execution experience.
• 8+ years of experience with ArcGIS, Photoshop, and 3D modeling tools such as Maya, 3D Studio Max, or Creator.
• Experience creating databases for image-generation systems such as Aechelon, MetaVR, Vital, or Quantum3D.
• Experience leading team development efforts and using workflow management tools.
• Experience with Global Mapper, Erdas, FME, Terra Vista, or ArcGIS Toolset.
