What you will do

• Develop and review electrical design packages for medium and high voltage substations.
• Create SCADA point lists, RTU programs, HMI interfaces, and metering overviews.
• Design site network and communication architectures compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Implement cybersecurity configurations on substation devices following NERC CIP standards.
• Evaluate design effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
• Investigate root causes of system failures and recommend quality improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 8-12 years of professional experience in design, modeling, and testing of substation communication systems.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards including NEC, NESC, and IEEE.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and based in Denver, Minneapolis, or Amarillo.
• Strong command of the English language with excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• Prior utility consulting experience.
