Salary: $39.24 - $58.87 per hour (approx. $81,619 - $122,450 annually)

What you will do

• Support substation projects up to 765kV in detailed design and EPC phases.
• Develop protection and control deliverables including schematics, wiring diagrams, and relay panels.
• Create physical design layouts, grounding, and lightning protection systems.
• Prepare equipment specifications and Bills of Materials for procurement.
• Perform QA/QC responsibilities and coordinate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Mentor entry-level professionals and interns as skills develop.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work in Chicago, IL
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or related sciences.
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment background checks and drug screens.
• US work authorization required (no visa sponsorship available)

Nice to have

• High voltage (HV) substation design experience (Physical or P&C).
• Engineering-in-Training (EIT) Certification.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office.
