What you will do

• Generate engineering design documents, drawings, and configuration files for substation and renewable energy SCADA systems.
• Develop control system network architectures, datalink points lists, and control narratives.
• Configure HMI screens, RTUs, PMU/PDC devices, and DFRs.
• Lead lower-level engineering assignments and mentor junior engineers on SCADA concepts.
• Perform quality assurance, factory acceptance testing, and cybersecurity auditing.
• Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting support for field construction teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 8 years related work experience.
• Active professional engineering registration or licensure.
• Proficiency in DNP3 protocol and IPv4/serial communication settings.
• Ability to read one-line diagrams, three-line AC schematics, and DC schematics.
• Ability to complete pre-employment background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle records search.

Nice to have

• Experience with wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems.
• Knowledge of IEC 61850, Modbus, and OPC UA protocols.
• Experience with SEL RTAC, Allen Bradley PLC configuration, and HMI platforms like Ignition or AVEVA.
• Familiarity with NERC-CIP cybersecurity standards and IEEE 1547 inverters.
• Network analysis skills using tools such as Wireshark or Modbus Poll.
