TL;DR

Associate Engineer - Electrical (Electrical Engineering): Performing engineering functions for high voltage substation projects with an accent on design documents, electrical calculations, and interdisciplinary coordination. Location: Denver, CO, US. Must have work authorization for the US (no visa sponsorship available). Hybrid options may be offered after 90 days.

Salary: $84,531 – $152,053 per year

What you will do

  • Prepare and verify engineering deliverables for high voltage substations up to 345kV.
  • Design wiring and schematic diagrams, including relaying panels, SCADA, and one-line diagrams.
  • Perform technical calculations for AC & DC station service loading, ampacity, battery sizing, and voltage drop.
  • Coordinate design efforts with project teams and clients to optimize layout, space control, and scheduling.
  • Evaluate manufacturer and contractor proposals for conformance with company and industry criteria.
  • Manage assigned budgets, schedules, and quality requirements (QA/QC) for electrical drawings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum one year of related GRID experience.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with IEEE standards and other common industry standards.
  • Valid US work authorization (no H-1B or TN sponsorship provided).
  • Ability to travel nationally up to 10%.
