What you will do

• Operate and maintain boilers and steam/hot water systems in accordance with state codes and company policy.
• Light gas or oil-fed burners and monitor pressure, temperature, and draft meters.
• Adjust controls for fuel feed, water level, and steam pressure.
• Perform repairs, including changing burners and tightening pipes/fittings.
• Analyze and treat boiler feed water and maintain detailed logs of readings.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance departments to ensure safety requirements are met.

Requirements

• Must possess or attain within 90 days a State of Minnesota Boiler License (1-B or 2-B classification).
• Ability to read, write, and interpret safety rules and maintenance manuals.
• Basic mathematical proficiency with fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks like climbing ladders.
• Must have perfect color vision and be able to wear an SCBA and HazMat suit.
