TL;DR

Maintenance Technician (Heavy Equipment): Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on wheel loaders, haul trucks, and other large machinery in a quartz processing facility with an accent on troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Focus on inspecting equipment, executing repairs, managing spare parts inventory, and documenting activities in CMMS.

Location: Onsite in Randolph, MN (initial in-person training at Le Sueur, MN facility)

Salary: $22.00 - $30.00 hourly ($1,000 sign-on bonus)

What you will do

  • Perform preventive maintenance on heavy mobile equipment including wheel loaders and haul trucks per schedules.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and execute corrective repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Inspect equipment for defects, wear, and damage, replacing parts as needed.
  • Operate hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment for maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain records of work orders, inspections, and repairs in CMMS system.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years experience in heavy mobile equipment maintenance
  • Technical degree in heavy construction equipment, diesel mechanics, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, automated systems
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, control diagrams, technical manuals
  • Basic computer proficiency for CMMS and documentation
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs, stand 12 hours, work outdoors in all weather, wear PPE
