Staff Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Longmont or Westminster, Colorado; work 90% or as needed in a secure onsite environment, including on-call or after-hours support.

Salary: $105,000–$140,000–$154,000 annually in Colorado, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Design, implement, maintain, and operate security applications and services in cloud-based CI/CD environments.
• Troubleshoot network, automated pipeline, and infrastructure issues affecting security services.
• Build, maintain, and monitor security tool configurations.
• Develop security monitoring, alerting, and metrics using log aggregators and data collectors.
• Collaborate with Information Assurance and DevOps teams to integrate security throughout the system lifecycle.
• Support configuration and vulnerability management for production applications and custom code.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an existing SECRET security clearance are required.
• Ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI access with a Counterintelligence Polygraph after SCI access is awarded.
• CompTIA Security+ or another DoDD 8140 certification.
• Five years of DevOps, software, or infrastructure engineering experience and a bachelor's degree; four additional years of experience may substitute for the degree.
• Cloud service experience and the ability to learn a wide range of open-source technologies.
• Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes or equivalent technologies.

Nice to have

• AWS or another cloud provider certification.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Python or Java proficiency.
• Experience automating and maintaining security tools for monitoring, compliance, vulnerability detection, intrusion detection, change management, or code analysis.
• Experience developing and maintaining custom source applications.
