Senior Security Engineer II (Cloud Security)

Salary: $149,000–$235,000 per year base salary for candidates based in the United States; expected OTE of $166,000–$261,000 per year.

What you will do

• Define cloud security standards, guardrails, and reference architectures for Infrastructure, SRE, and Product Engineering.
• Lead cross-functional security initiatives, set technical roadmaps, and represent cloud security in architecture and design forums.
• Own threat modeling and secure-by-default architecture across AWS, GCP, external identity providers, IAM, and self-managed systems.
• Design cloud threat detections and SIEM rules, lead incident response and cloud forensics, and improve vulnerability management.
• Secure self-managed Kubernetes environments, including control planes, workload isolation, admission control, runtime security, and CI/CD supply chains.
• Mentor security and platform engineers and establish standards for Terraform, patch management, base-image hardening, and distributed data stores such as MongoDB.

Requirements

• Several years of production cloud security ownership, including on-call responsibility.
• Hands-on experience with AWS as the primary cloud, GCP, and self-managed Kubernetes.
• Ability to read and write Python and Terraform.
• Experience leading through technical depth and influence as a senior individual contributor.
• Experience with secure architecture, threat modeling, IAM, detection engineering, incident response, and cloud security tooling.
