Senior Cloud Security Engineer (AWS GovCloud)

Location: Onsite five days a week at the Playa Vista, California office; U.S. citizenship required.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 annual base salary, plus equity.

What you will do

• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize secure AWS GovCloud, Azure, Google Cloud, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
• Implement cloud security frameworks and maintain compliance with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, RMF, DoD Impact Levels, and SCCA requirements.
• Configure IAM, RBAC, JIT access, key vaults, encryption, network segmentation, and Zero Trust controls.
• Deploy and optimize cloud security, CSPM/CWPP, SIEM, monitoring, vulnerability assessment, and incident response capabilities.
• Develop and maintain SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms, risk reports, policies, standards, and automated security guardrails.
• Partner with DevSecOps, infrastructure, and development teams to secure CI/CD pipelines, IaC, cloud migrations, and modernization initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to work onsite five days per week in Playa Vista, California.
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information assurance, computer science, or a related field, or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience.
• 5–9+ years of cloud security engineering experience, including hands-on AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, Google Cloud, or multi-cloud work.
• Strong knowledge of IAM/RBAC, encryption, network security, logging, monitoring, container/Kubernetes security, and cloud-native security services.
• Experience with NIST, FedRAMP, RMF, STIGs, CIS benchmarks, vulnerability scanners, SIEM, threat intelligence, and security automation.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation and scripting in Python or PowerShell.

• CISSP, AWS Certified Security-Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Security certification, Security+, CEH, CySA+, GCIH, or related CSSP certification.
