Electrical Maintenance Technician (Engineering)

What you will do

• Install, modify, start up, repair, and overhaul mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions using electrical testing devices, software, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and component replacements.
• Troubleshoot and repair control circuits and electrical and mechanical systems.
• Operate equipment to verify proper performance and analyze faults.
• Support equipment modifications and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

• Knowledge of electrical theory, construction, maintenance practices, and safe work procedures for live circuits.
• Ability to analyze electrical and mechanical problems, determine corrective actions, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering specifications, project plans, manuals, and technical documents.
• Practical experience with electrical meters, diagnostic tools, hand tools, power-activated tools, and preventive maintenance equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and install control circuits and communicate technical information.
• Ability to work around moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, open circuits, chemicals, vibration, high noise, and extreme temperatures, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Two years of journeyman-level electrical experience.
• Four years of food processing maintenance experience.
