Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: South San Francisco, United States; on-site in an active production environment.

Manufacturer of drone motors and robot actuators scaling production in the United States for the global market.

What you will do

• Execute preventive maintenance programs for production and facility equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-based systems, including 120V/240V/480V equipment.
• Replace and calibrate motors, bearings, belts, sensors, solenoids, tooling, and other components.
• Maintain compressed air systems, HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and general facility infrastructure.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, identify recurring failure modes, and propose root-cause solutions to reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and parts records in the CMMS.

Requirements

• GED, high school diploma, or higher, plus 3+ years of maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, clamp meters, and meggers.
• Working knowledge of lockout/tagout, electrical safety, and general shop safety practices.
• At least one current, recognized technical certification.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, P&ID drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Authorized to work in the United States; valid California driver's license required. Background check and drug screening required.

Nice to have

• Experience maintaining high-volume production equipment in automotive, electronics, or similar environments.
• PLC programming or advanced troubleshooting experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar systems.
• Experience with CMMS platforms, MIG or TIG welding certification, and forklift or aerial lift certification.
