Maintenance Mechanic Specialist

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on production equipment.
• Perform scheduled and emergency repairs to reduce downtime and maintain operations.
• Oversee and complete preventive maintenance, review procedures, and recommend equipment improvements.
• Identify potential breakdowns and safety hazards, report them to management, and lead corrective actions.
• Train and support less experienced maintenance staff, including basic pipe fitting and hands-on repairs.
• Ensure safe use of forklifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, hoists, PPE, and other equipment while keeping work areas organized.

Requirements

• Moderate to advanced knowledge of mechanical components, including valves, pressure regulators, pipe fittings, bearings, belts, gearboxes, and related systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and hydraulic schematics.
• Knowledge of safe work practices, including LOTO, working at heights, compressed gases, and forklift and hoist safety.
• Moderate to advanced understanding of CNC milling machines, saws, and flame-cutting equipment, or the ability to learn them quickly.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and become certified to operate a forklift and use hoists.
• General computer skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
