What you will do

• Manage and implement global category strategies across different product lines to consolidate the global supplier base.
• Oversee supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, and delivery, conducting regular business reviews and commercial negotiations.
• Develop and execute annual cost reduction plans using cost models and VeVa projects in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Partner with other regional category managers to lead negotiations and source new suppliers within your region.
• Monitor industry trends and market conditions to deliver critical market intelligence and industry insights.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in procurement, specifically focused on category management.
• 10+ years of experience with manufactured products, preferably within industrial end markets.
• Strong expertise in sourcing processes, contracting, and commercial negotiation.
• Experience applying strategy models such as Porter's 5 Forces, SWOT analysis, and AT Kearney Chessboard.
• Must be based in Mexico.
• Fluent English communication (verbal and written) is a must.
