What you will do

• Implement and execute category strategies to ensure the Co-op derives sustainable best value from the supply market.
• Lead sourcing activity, manage supplier performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation plans for high-risk suppliers and categories.
• Engage with internal stakeholders and supply market partners to align sourcing decisions with organisational objectives.
• Monitor supply market dynamics and ensure procurement controls are effectively applied.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of procurement experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in a relevant spend category.
• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related business discipline.
• Must be based in New Zealand (Auckland, Hamilton & North Waikato).
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
