What you will do
- Own the technical roadmap for the Eliza AI agents product line.
- Lead and mentor a small team of product engineers while remaining hands-on with code.
- Scale live voice agents, focusing on quality, empathy, and reliability for sensitive human contexts.
- Develop evaluation frameworks to measure and improve LLM response accuracy and emotional tone at scale.
- Manage LLM economics, including token costs, latency trade-offs, and model selection.
- Expand AI capabilities from voice into live chat and email enquiry handling.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with a track record of leading technical decisions and mentoring.
- Proficiency in TypeScript across the full stack.
- Practical experience building with LLMs, including prompt engineering and observability.
- Proven experience building products from 0 to 1 in cross-functional environments.
- Must be based in London to support the hybrid work policy (two days in office).
- Strong product mindset focusing on impact and iterative development.
