What you will do

• Manage a high-caliber team of SDEs on the Rufus Agentic team to build and launch AI-powered experiences.
• Influence the strategic direction and vision of the organization by aligning business needs with technical capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership, vision, and career guidance to team members.
• Drive engineering and operational excellence and establish best practices across the organization.
• Collaborate with science, design, and product management in an agile environment to deliver optimal technical designs.
• Manage bottlenecks, escalations, and balance business needs against technical constraints.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in London, UK
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 8+ years of general engineering experience.
• 8+ years of experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Proven experience developing complex, world-class, scalable software systems successfully delivered to customers.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Experience communicating product strategy and technical designs to senior leadership.
• Strong background in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and coaching software engineers.
