Technical Program Manager

Technical Program Manager (Program Management): Executing cross-functional planning and program operations initiatives to help Technology and Product teams deliver on their roadmaps with an accent on operational rigor, risk management, and dependency tracking. Focus on improving the consistency of portfolio processes, coordinating initiative sequencing, and ensuring predictable execution from discovery to delivery.

Location: Hybrid (Oakland, CA or New York, NY). Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Salary: $118,000 – $140,000

What you will do

• Drive ownership of delivery, sequencing, and risk within the Technology and Product roadmap planning process.
• Coordinate initiative sequencing and identify dependencies to surface planning risks and ensure predictable execution.
• Operationalize planning processes to improve visibility into demand, capacity, timelines, and overall progress.
• Facilitate planning sessions, reviews, and checkpoints in partnership with Portfolio Managers.
• Manage planning data, time tracking, and reporting accuracy using Jira and Atlassian tools.
• Develop narratives and artifacts, including dashboards and status updates, to communicate priorities and trade-offs to leadership.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in technical program management, program operations, or product operations.
• Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering teams in a delivery-focused environment.
• Proficiency with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to analyze data and track metrics related to execution and delivery.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to translate complex information into clear updates.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with portfolio planning, prioritization, or capacity tracking.
• Experience with automation and AI tools such as ChatGPT or Gemini.
