Technical Program Manager (Core Network & WAN Infrastructure)

TL;DR

Technical Program Manager (Core Network & WAN Infrastructure): Owning the delivery of WAN infrastructure including PoPs, long-haul fiber, and cloud interconnects for AI GPU fleets with an accent on physical and logical network readiness. Focus on driving end-to-end PoP buildouts, managing vendor dependencies, and optimizing infrastructure scaling mechanisms.

Location: Hybrid (San Francisco, CA). Must be based in or relocate to San Francisco (3 days in office per week).

Salary: $207,000 – $335,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Own end-to-end execution for PoP buildouts, expansions, and network capacity delivery across vendors and cloud providers.
• Drive physical and logical readiness for routers, optics, cabling, BGP sessions, and production turn-up.
• Manage timelines, dependencies, risks, and blockers for active network deployments.
• Partner with network engineers to validate link state, optics health, and routing readiness.
• Develop operational mechanisms, including readiness checklists, deployment trackers, and escalation playbooks.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in PoP deployment to make future builds faster and more predictable.

Requirements

• Deep experience driving infrastructure, networking, datacenter, or telecom programs.
• Strong technical intuition for WAN/backbone infrastructure, colocation, and cloud interconnects.
• Proven track record of independently owning ambiguous, cross-functional infrastructure programs.
• Experience collaborating with network engineers, datacenter operators, and procurement teams.
• Excellent written communication and operating discipline.
• Must be located in or willing to relocate to San Francisco, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale AI/ML infrastructure.
• Familiarity with BGP, optical transport, DWDM, and dark fiber.
• Experience with Arista, Juniper, or Cisco network platforms.
• Skill in building operational dashboards or automation for infrastructure programs.
• Experience with global infrastructure expansion and vendor negotiations.
