TL;DR

Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialist (Medtech): Promoting and selling Tandem Diabetes products and clinical services within the assigned territory with an accent on clinical acceptance of insulin pump therapy and Type 1 diabetes management. Focus on building relationships with endocrinologists and KOLs, providing clinical education to healthcare professionals and patients.

Location: Must be based in and eligible to work in the Netherlands (Remote with ~80% travel within the country)

What you will do

  • Manage assigned territory to meet and exceed commercial sales goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with endocrinologists, diabetes nurses, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Provide clinical training and education on insulin pump therapy and diabetes self-management to patients and healthcare providers.
  • Identify new business opportunities and differentiate Tandem’s technology from legacy pump systems.
  • Collaborate with internal Sales, Medical Affairs, and Customer Support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate activity records within the CRM system.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Dutch and English is required.
  • Must be based in the Netherlands with valid work eligibility (no visa sponsorship).
  • Strong knowledge of diabetes care, specifically Type 1 diabetes and insulin pump therapy.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% within the Netherlands.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office/Teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical sales.
  • (Para)medical background such as nursing or dietetics.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in medical device sales, diabetes care, or endocrinology.
  • Direct experience with or in-depth knowledge of individuals living with Type 1 diabetes.
