What you will do

• Build and scale a high-performing engineering team, strategically hiring to fill skill gaps.
• Coach and mentor engineers to ensure high-quality delivery and professional growth.
• Define the technical strategy for AI agent and downmarket products aligned with business goals.
• Collaborate with product, design, and AI platform teams to ship automated AI features.
• Implement best practices for applied AI, including RAG, prompt engineering, and agentic frameworks.
• Iterate quickly on roadmaps and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience managing technical teams of 4-8+ engineers.
• Proven track record as a strong individual contributor with hands-on applied AI experience.
• Deep expertise in building LLM-backed products (prompting, RAG, agent frameworks).
• Experience in fast-paced startup environments (YC background is a plus).
• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Must be based in the United States.
