TL;DR
Research Account Manager (SaaS/Information Analytics): Managing and growing a portfolio of academic and research institutions through renewals and upsells with an accent on consultative selling and complex SaaS solutions. Focus on building strategic relationships with senior decision-makers and navigating the budget processes of U.S. Government National Labs and agencies.
Location: Home based (Philadelphia, PA; New York; or Washington DC)
Total Target Cash Range: $100,900 – $201,900

What you will do
- Retain and grow journals and books business through renewals, upsell, and cross-sell activities.
- Develop strategic account plans, including stakeholder mapping, SWOT analysis, and risk assessment.
- Conduct needs analysis and progress new business leads through sales stages to closing.
- Collaborate with Customer Success Managers (CSM) to ensure smooth post-sales handoff and leverage customer insights for growth.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast data using Salesforce and Clari.
- Gather competitive market feedback to influence product development and GTM strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (advanced degree preferred).
- 3+ years of sales or account management experience focusing on account growth and cross-selling.
- Must be based in the USA (as evidenced by US-specific benefits and hub locations).
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with senior-level decision makers.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working within a global, highly matrixed organization.
