Location: On-site at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO

Salary: $130,000 – $145,000 annually

What you will do

• Perform wide-ranging VMware system administration activities with minimal supervision.
• Conduct daily system monitoring, backups, and application upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
• Execute vulnerability remediation and mitigations to maintain DoD cybersecurity compliance.
• Provide root-cause analysis for critical or recurring system issues.
• Collaborate with network and cybersecurity teams to maintain high-quality test environments.
• Document system changes and status updates in accordance with mission requirements.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required.
• Current DoD 8570 Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) required.
• Minimum 10 years of general work experience, including 5 years of directly related experience and 1 year in a leadership role.
• Strong expertise in VMware vSphere 7.0+ and vCenter Server Appliance configuration.
• Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and enterprise-level virtual machine management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for customer and management briefings.

Nice to have

• VMware Certified Technical Associate or Professional certification.
• Experience with automation tools such as PowerCLI or Ansible.
• Knowledge of Missile Defense Agency operations and HPE server products.
• Degree in an IT or Engineering discipline.
