What you will do

• Own and optimize virtual desktop environments (Horizon/Citrix), addressing performance bottlenecks and capacity planning.
• Act as the top-tier escalation point for complex data center and VDI issues, implementing long-term remediation.
• Consult with customers and stakeholders to evaluate environments, uncover misconfigurations, and enhance stability.
• Mentor and upskill Tier 2 support and the wider infrastructure organization in virtualization and disaster recovery.
• Collaborate with senior engineering teams to transition clients from reactive break-fix to a proactive consultative model.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting enterprise-scale VDI environments.
• Deep expertise in VMware technologies, including hypervisor administration and vSphere management.
• Solid knowledge of scale-out storage platforms (e.g., Isilon) and backup solutions like Veeam, Rubrik, or Cohesity.
• Proven experience in technical consulting, communicating complex topics directly to customers.
• Ability to coach, train, and develop junior and mid-level engineers.
• Sponsorship is not available; must have valid US work authorization.
