What you will do

• Drive transition to proactive, automated infrastructure management and take accountability for reliability, security, and scalability of Windows environments.
• Maintain and provision servers, virtualization (VCenter, vSphere, VMware ESXi, NSX, Nutanix AHV), Windows Server 2022, and on-premises Microsoft Exchange.
• Write PowerShell and batch scripts for automation, deployments, patching, and issue resolution.
• Execute security hardening, patching, and compliance for Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM).
• Monitor helpdesk, resolve advanced ITSM tickets, provide on-site/remote support, and mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, cybersecurity, database admins, and customers to integrate systems and meet operational needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 12 years in Windows Systems Administration, including migrations/managing Windows Server 2016-2022, VMware vCenter, vSphere, NSX.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server 2022, on-premises Exchange SE, and PowerShell scripting/automation.
• CompTIA Security+ and current Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (or legacy MCSE/MCSA).
• Must meet specific agency/contract requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience designing highly available Windows Server/Exchange environments with site resilience and disaster recovery.
• Familiarity with email security tools like Proofpoint.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
