What you will do

• Lead the engineering and execution of modernizing legacy infrastructure into scalable Linux-based enterprise architectures.
• Configure and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) across hybrid cloud environments.
• Architect high-availability Linux clusters, failover mechanisms, and automated backup strategies.
• Design and deploy automated configuration management scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Conduct root cause analysis, performance monitoring, and security hardening on active Linux servers.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation, deployment guides, and infrastructure topology diagrams.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+).
• Recognized Linux certification (e.g., RHCE, RHCSA).
• Deep proficiency in administrative engineering and troubleshooting of RHEL or similar enterprise Linux platforms.
• Hands-on experience with automation scripts such as Ansible, Bash, Python, or Puppet.
• Proven experience implementing DISA STIGs to meet federal security baselines.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) or Department of Homeland Security (DHS) programs.
• Experience developing integrations for the Collibra data governance platform.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux storage management (LVM, SAN, NAS) and network configuration.
• Experience with VMware vSphere or cloud-hosted infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
