Tier 2 Data Center Engineer (VDI): Supporting and troubleshooting complex VMware/VDI environments with an accent on VDI infrastructure and client advisory. Focus on identifying performance bottlenecks, scaling challenges, and ensuring reliability across environments.

Location: Remote (PST/MST ideal, but open to CST/EST)

Salary: $130,000-$150,000

What you will do

• Support and optimize VDI environments (Horizon/Citrix).
• Identify performance bottlenecks and scaling challenges.
• Act as escalation point for complex infrastructure and VDI issues.
• Work with clients and internal teams to review environments.
• Help build internal VDI expertise across the team.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and supporting large-scale VDI infrastructure.
• Advanced VMware experience (Hypervisor and vSphere).
• Proficient with Isilon (storage) and data protection (Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity, etc.).
• Strong advisory/consulting background with proven experience working with clients to explain technical issues and recommend improvements.
• Training and development experience around VDI.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Verizon VDI.
