Senior Structural Engineer (Advanced Facilities & Complex Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Perform conventional and complex structural analysis and design for steel and concrete structures.
• Apply lateral, wind, and seismic design principles in accordance with US building codes.
• Coordinate structural requirements with designers and drafting teams through 3D models and design documents.
• Own assigned project scopes, including effort forecasting, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
• Lead structural engineering work on medium-sized projects or serve as a sub-lead on major initiatives.
• Conduct field evaluations, check calculations, mentor junior engineers, and escalate scope or design issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering emphasis; a master's degree is preferred.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required. An active Structural Engineer (SE) license is highly preferred.
• At least 10 years of professional structural engineering and design experience.
• Experience leading small engineering teams or serving as a task lead on complex projects.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as STAAD, plus Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Ability to conduct field walks in active construction and facility environments, including restricted utility spaces and ladders.

Nice to have

• Experience with heavy industrial, general industrial, pharmaceutical, utility, or data center facilities.
• Structural Engineer (SE) license.
