What you will do

• Perform structural analysis and design for steel and concrete structures under general supervision.
• Apply US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC, with a developing focus on wind and seismic design.
• Coordinate structural requirements with designers, drafters, and engineers from other disciplines.
• Produce and refine construction documents and 3D project models.
• Own assigned structural scope, manage workload, and support project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Check personal work and assist with routine calculation checks for other engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Active Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required.
• At least two years of professional structural engineering experience.
• Hands-on familiarity with traditional steel and concrete building systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and a collaborative approach.
• Role associated with Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, United States.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• Experience with heavy industrial, general industrial, or advanced technology facility design.
• Exposure to STAAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
