What you will do

• Perform structural analysis and design for steel and concrete structures under general supervision.
• Apply US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC, with a focus on lateral analysis (wind and seismic).
• Collaborate with structural designers, drafters, and other engineering disciplines to integrate requirements into project models.
• Take full ownership of assigned structural scopes to meet project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Execute rigorous quality control by checking your own work and performing calculation checks for other engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• Active Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Hands-on familiarity with traditional steel and concrete building systems.
• Must be located in or able to work onsite in Coraopolis, USA.

Nice to have

• Master's Degree in Structural Engineering.
• Previous exposure to heavy industrial or advanced technology facility design.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (STAAD), coordination tools (Navisworks), and Bluebeam.
