Principal Presales Engineer (SaaS): Leading technical pre-sales engagements for complex communication solutions with an accent on architectural design, API integration, and strategic customer partnership. Location: Remote (US). Note: Not eligible for hire in CT, NJ, NY, WA, PA, or specific areas of CA (SF, Oakland, San Jose). Approximately 25% travel required.
Salary: $138,872 – $192,880 (varies by location).

What you will do
- Partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, demonstrations, and Proof-of-Concept sessions.
- Design and propose complex technical architectures that address specific customer business challenges.
- Present product capabilities and ROI to stakeholders ranging from software engineers to C-level executives.
- Act as a trusted advisor, evangelizing new use cases and innovative solutions within strategic accounts.
- Contribute to the broader Solutions Engineering community by creating reusable demo materials and technical content.
- Mentor peers and provide technical leadership to influence sales strategy and team growth.
Requirements
- Must be based in the US (with specific state exclusions).
- Minimum 8 years in a solutions engineering role or 10+ years in technical product support/consulting.
- Strong background in software development (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or PHP) and web technologies.
- Proven experience building with REST APIs and understanding cloud application architecture.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Experience managing strategic accounts in regulated industries.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Domain expertise in Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security.
