Verification Engineer Intern (Optical Technology)

TL;DR

Verification Engineer Intern (Python/Optical Networking): Driving test strategies, plans, and execution for the WaveLogic Optical Modem with an accent on validation testing and Python automation. Location: Must work from the Atlanta office (Alpharetta, GA) Tuesday to Thursday

Salary: $26.50–$37.50 per hour

What you will do

• Develop comprehensive test plans to validate customer use-cases and product capabilities.
• Build test environments for execution, considering potential interactions across different product features.
• Perform validation testing activities and report defects to the design team.
• Develop and augment Python automation test cases for improved execution efficiency.
• Collaborate with customers, PLM, and R&D to support field activities.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Optical Communications.
• Knowledge of optical technology, photonics, and software testing methodologies.
• Experience developing automation with Python.
• Understanding of Linux OS, standard tools, and networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs).
• Proficiency with CLI, JSON, and SDKs for device configuration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
