Test Engineer (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Test Engineer (Cybersecurity): Executing test plans and developing manual and automated tests for commercial security products with an accent on low-level software validation and test framework ownership. Focus on identifying critical vulnerabilities in systems, validating kernel-level software, and ensuring the stability of security technologies.

Location: Hybrid in Huntsville, AL. U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret government security clearance are required.

What you will do

• Execute comprehensive test plans and develop manual and automated tests across the product portfolio.
• Design, implement, and maintain robust test automation frameworks.
• Identify, document, and track software bugs to ensure high product quality.
• Validate software that secures systems at the lowest levels, including hardware architecture and operating systems.
• Collaborate with the commercial product team to break systems and find vulnerabilities before customers do.

Requirements

• Strong programming proficiency in Python.
• Experience with Bash and/or Batch scripting and familiarity with C/C++ development.
• Proven software testing experience (functional, integration, and system testing).
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and both Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience using testing frameworks such as Pytest.
• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Secret government security clearance.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of OS internals, kernel-level or driver software testing.
• Experience with TPM and Secure Boot technologies.
• Familiarity with DOD System Security Engineering standards (RMF, Cyber Resiliency, Anti-Tamper).
• Experience with virtualization (QEMU, KVM, VMWare) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency with Jenkins or similar CI/CD development tools.
