Tax Intern (Finance)

TL;DR

Tax Intern (Finance): Supporting global tax professionals across Canadian, U.S., and International tax functions with an accent on tax return preparation and compliance. Focus on income tax provision calculations, data validation using Excel, and supporting multinational tax initiatives.

Location: Hybrid in Montreal (St. Laurent). Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

What you will do

• Assist in the preparation and review of corporate tax returns, information returns, and supporting documentation.
• Support income tax provision calculations and related analyses for Canada and selected international jurisdictions.
• Perform tax reconciliations and validate financial and tax data using Excel.
• Contribute to the improvement and standardization of tax files and templates, including basic automation.
• Collaborate with Finance, Payroll, Legal teams, and external advisors.
• Assist with tax audits, internal reviews, and documentation requests.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance or a related field.
• Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written) is required.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
• Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical thinking.
• Organized, structured, and methodical work approach.
• Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.

Nice to have

• Previous internship experience in tax, accounting, or finance.
