What you will do

• Own the end-to-end monthly Colombian payroll cycle in partnership with a BPO provider.
• Act as the single point of accountability for payroll accuracy and error prevention.
• Manage data interfaces between HRIS (UKG), BPO, and Finance.
• Ensure full statutory compliance including PILA, DIAN reporting, and social security.
• Build and maintain audit-ready SOPs, payroll calendars, and control matrices.
• Coordinate treasury funding and support the transition of the Colombian team to the new operating entity.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on Colombian payroll experience in tech, fintech, or SaaS.
• Deep expertise in Colombian labor law, statutory requirements, and social security systems.
• Proven experience managing outsourced/BPO payroll providers.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for reconciliation and error detection.
• Strong working English for daily communication with US-based stakeholders.
• Experience with HRIS platforms like UKG, Workday, or ADP.
• Proficiency in using AI tools (e.g., Claude) to enhance productivity and research.

Nice to have

• Experience leading payroll transitions, BPO implementations, or HRIS migrations.
• Familiarity with Payoneer or cross-border payment rails.
• Background in publicly listed or pre-IPO fintech environments.
• Native Spanish and fluent business English.
