What you will do

• Plan and execute generative research including user interviews, contextual inquiry, and diary studies.
• Conduct evaluative research such as usability studies, concept testing, and prototype reviews.
• Define research questions and own the execution from participant recruitment through synthesis.
• Create clear deliverables like journey maps, mental models, and opportunity frameworks.
• Advocate for user needs in roadmap and prioritization discussions backed by evidence.
• Contribute targeted HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to the design system for research prototypes.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US.
• 5+ years of professional UX research experience with mixed-methods practice.
• Deep fluency in qualitative methods and working knowledge of quantitative research.
• Proficiency with Figma for creating research communication materials.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for interactive prototyping.
• Strong communication skills with a track record of influencing product direction.

Nice to have

• Experience with design system teams.
• Background in enterprise software, developer tools, or financial products.
• Familiarity with accessibility research and inclusive design.
• Experience with unmoderated research platforms like UserTesting or Maze.
