What you will do

• Diagnose and repair rotating equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure plant operation.
• Execute periodic preventative maintenance tasks following safety and operating procedures.
• Install, repair, align, and troubleshoot high-pressure centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.
• Maintain steam distribution equipment, including piping, pressure reducing valves, and steam traps.
• Service pneumatic and electrical controls equipment and steam boiler auxiliaries.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a power plant, refinery, or industrial plant setting.
• English: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be willing to become a Bargaining Unit Member of the IBEW Local 614.
• Valid driver license in good standing.

Nice to have

• Vo-tech certificate or completion of an apprenticeship in relevant trades.
• Degree in Machine Tool Technology.
• Experience with high-pressure steam boilers, industrial centrifugal chillers, or combustion and steam turbines.
• Knowledge of centrifugal and screw type air compressors and driers.
• Proficiency with laser alignment tools, milling equipment, and precision measurement tools.
