What you will do

• Manage a diverse portfolio of ongoing relationships with publishing partners through various communication channels and reporting tools.
• Ensure partners are aligned and aware of our strategy around journal growth, open access, and additional high-level themes impacting the research publishing ecosystem through excellent, regular communication.
• Undertake research and prepare materials to renew journal publishing agreements by supporting the development of business offers with senior colleagues and colleagues in Finance.
• Assist in delivering comprehensive renewal proposals.
• Gather background information needed for financial projections and collaborate with colleagues in the negotiation of contracts.
• Participate in a team-of-teams approach to deliver smooth service and portfolio growth and sustainability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong relationship management, negotiation, and influencing skills, and the ability to ensure internal and external alignment with strategic goals.
• Experience in account management, working with cross-functional groups, and communicating with various internal teams.
• Experience using and explaining financial modelling to reflect changes in the publishing industry and to budget accordingly.
• Have a proven track record of strong solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving; strong data analytics, time management, and presentation skills; organized working style; excellent communication (written and oral).

Nice to have

• 5+ years of publishing experience and solid conceptual knowledge of the different aspects of journal publishing industry.
