What you will do

• Adhere to underwriting guidelines, execute pricing strategies, and use authority to accept, reject, or mitigate risks.
• Review and analyze risk characteristics on applications, renewals, and change requests.
• Approve/decline applications, issue coverage, and prepare referrals for risks exceeding authority.
• Document underwriting files with risk analysis and pricing justification.
• Cultivate relationships with producers, collaborate with the team, and respond to customer needs.
• Process accounts from quotes to policy issuance and recommend process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Workers Compensation underwriting or related insurance experience.
• Experience underwriting risks in construction, hospitality, real estate, manufacturing.
• Strong customer service experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work collaboratively, embrace change, and learn industry-specific software.

• CPCU, CIC, CRIS, Property & Casualty Brokers License.
