Java Engineer (HPC)

What you will do

• Future-proof and maintain Java-based HPC cluster scheduling and control systems.
• Ensure high availability and reliability across on-premises servers and Microsoft Azure resources.
• Maintain and improve monitoring systems for infrastructure and client job submissions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to balance resource allocation with business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance across hybrid computing environments.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Strong core and enterprise Java development expertise.
• Experience with distributed systems and distributed execution engines.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, ActiveMQ, legacy front-end web technologies, and Python for APIs and tooling.
• Familiarity with Azure Portal, Azure SDK for Java, and Red Hat Linux.
• Understanding of banking systems and regulatory requirements.
• Fluent English required; German is a plus.

Nice to have

• Scala and C++.
• Kubernetes and Java multithreaded development expertise.
