Snowflake's Observe platform is an AI-powered observability product built on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud for processing logs, metrics, traces, and events at enterprise scale.
What you will do
- Design, build, and own core features, APIs, and business logic for the observability platform.
- Lead systems from technical scoping and architecture through deployment, meeting enterprise reliability and performance standards.
- Collaborate with product, infrastructure, data, SRE, and customer-facing teams to deliver actionable engineering insights.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues using AI-assisted workflows and root-cause analysis.
- Contribute through code reviews, mentorship, and architectural influence.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend application systems or distributed platforms.
- Experience designing and shipping production systems with high throughput, low latency, and enterprise reliability requirements.
- Strong proficiency in one or more server-side languages, such as Go, Java, Scala, or Python.
- Ability to independently own complex technical problems from scoping through delivery.
- Experience collaborating across engineering, product, and infrastructure teams.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with observability platforms, telemetry pipelines, distributed tracing, or logging systems such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Jaeger.
- Experience building AI-assisted developer tools or LLM-integrated workflows.
- Background in SRE practices, incident response automation, or root-cause analysis tooling.
- Open-source contributions to observability, data infrastructure, or developer productivity projects.
