Applications Engineer (Industrial Plumbing)

Location: Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, United States. On-site at a manufacturing facility, Monday–Friday; duties are primarily performed in an office, with occasional presence on the manufacturing floor and required personal protective equipment.

What you will do

• Work with customers and sales teams to understand application requirements and requested products or systems.
• Review customer specifications, identify discrepancies, and coordinate solutions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary liaison among customers, sales representatives, engineering, manufacturing, and other functions.
• Develop cost estimates and deliver competitive industrial plumbing product quotations within required timelines and service levels.
• Manage requests for technical clarifications, documentation, and reports.
• Maintain current information on market-level pricing and competition while managing multiple client portfolios.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering, manufacturing, or business area.
• 5+ years of technical work experience.
• Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems, resolve technical and customer-related issues, and work through concrete variables.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including thorough communication with stakeholders.
• Superior organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels, maintain productive collaborative relationships, and manage multiple client portfolios simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and customer service etiquette.
• Knowledge of qualifying engineering specifications for system applications, functions, markets, and materials, plus knowledge and experience with commercial and industrial piping systems.
• Good team player who is honest, cooperative, punctual, dependable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities and stressful conditions.
• Ability to remain seated and perform repetitive keyboard or mouse tasks for extended periods; move around the office, handle office materials, read documents, use computers, perform data entry, communicate clearly, operate standard office equipment, and occasionally lift light objects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of hydraulic principles, pumps, and plumbing systems.
