Solutions Architect (Automotive AI)

Location: California and Tokyo, with a hybrid working policy combining office and workshop time with work from home

hirify.global develops autonomous driving technology and integrates its AI Driver software with automotive OEM and Tier 1 vehicle platforms.

What you will do

• Define and manage technical architectures for customer vehicle integrations between hirify.global software and OEM or Tier 1 vehicle systems.
• Translate product requirements and customer program needs into technical specifications, interface requirements, and validation-ready requirements.
• Define integration boundaries, ownership models, assumptions, dependencies, interface contracts, and open technical decisions.
• Work with Software Architects and Validation Engineers to align customer integrations with the core architecture and define integration tests.
• Create and maintain interface specifications, integration guides, architecture diagrams, ownership definitions, and decision records.
• Represent hirify.global’s product architecture in OEM and Tier 1 discussions and coordinate technical risks, gaps, dependencies, and partner deliverables.

Requirements

• Experience defining or contributing to architecture for ADAS, autonomous driving, embedded software, or vehicle systems, particularly at the software–vehicle interface.
• Understanding of vehicle electronics, embedded software constraints, ECU integration, real-time execution, timing, diagnostics, and production vehicle software environments.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols and architectures such as CAN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet, SOME/IP, or AUTOSAR.
• Experience working with or integrating systems for automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
• Ability to translate customer discussions and product requirements into clear technical specifications, interface contracts, and verification requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience explaining complex architecture through documentation, diagrams, and technical reviews.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience as a Tier 1 automotive supplier or on automotive OEM integration projects.
• Knowledge of generative AI, LLMs, and transformer architectures.
• Experience with embedded Linux, QNX, Adaptive AUTOSAR, DDS, SOME/IP, or custom automotive middleware.
• Experience integrating cameras, radar, IMU, or GNSS, including calibration, timestamping, and synchronization.
