Program Manager (Propulsion)

Location: Madison, Wisconsin, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work under U.S. Government international trade regulations as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations.

Salary: $143,398.00–$197,171.50 per year.

What you will do

• Lead a propulsion program, Integrated Product Team, or portfolio valued at less than $100 million.
• Own program cost, schedule, technical performance, budgets, resource management, and contractual execution.
• Develop and maintain program plans, schedules, budgets, performance metrics, and reports.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, supply chain, and operations teams to deliver program objectives.
• Communicate program status, risks, issues, and corrective actions to internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead customer-facing management reviews, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor junior managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a master’s degree with at least 6 years of experience.
• 8 or more years of related experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of program planning, execution, resource management, budgets, schedules, and technical objectives.
• Advanced analytical skills for financial metrics, organizational KPIs, and complex data.
• Experience leading management reviews, working with financial teams, and managing programs with limited oversight.
• U.S. work authorization or eligibility to obtain the authorizations required by U.S. Government international trade regulations.

Nice to have

• Senior-level project management certification such as PMP.
• Agile project management, Lean Six Sigma, risk management, contract management, and negotiation experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana, Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle, systems engineering, supply chain, and logistics.
