Senior Technical Program Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Greater Seattle Area, United States. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.

Base pay for Washington applicants: $145,188–$203,263 per year. Other site ranges may differ.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple technical factory automation projects.
• Build and maintain lightweight project management systems for budgets, schedules, scope, risks, and performance tracking.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to define project goals, technical scope, and final products.
• Prepare, execute, and close out gated reviews and follow-up actions, including SRR, PDR, and CDR.
• Develop procurement packages, perform bid leveling, and manage fixed-price and time-and-materials subcontracts.
• Audit and continuously improve project management tools and practices across the growing automation organization.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience managing complex engineering system development projects in aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing.
• Experience delivering multiple projects on time and within budget while managing parallel workstreams.
• Knowledge of project planning, integrated master schedules, critical path analysis, change management, and after-action reporting.
• Experience developing custom project management tools or adapting commercial systems to automate project management activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.

Nice to have

• B.S. degree or higher in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with manufacturing automation equipment, complex electronic systems, fluids or pressure systems, and engineering drawing review.
• Experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code to build project management systems.
• Experience with MS Project, Project Online, Airtable, Tableau, Windchill, or JIRA.
