Sr. Program Manager - Space Technologies

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States; office and manufacturing environment

Salary: $101,000–$154,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, and control accounts across program development activities.
• Negotiate and document work scope, work breakdown structures, work authorizations, schedules, and lump-sum budgets.
• Build resource-loaded schedules, work packages, performance measurement baselines, and earned value measurement approaches.
• Review progress, identify variances, assess estimates to complete, and prepare variance analysis reports.
• Develop corrective actions and submit baseline changes in accordance with change-control policies.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration and advise colleagues and stakeholders on complex program-management issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, project management, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of program-management experience with direct responsibility for scope, schedule, and budget management.
• Expert-level earned value management experience on DoD or DoE contracts.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary environments and leading initiatives through completion.
• U.S. citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance and work on government contracts.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR requirements or be eligible for an applicable export license.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering, business, project management, or a related field.
• Experience as a Control Account Manager or Program Control Analyst on a large DoD contract.
• Technical writing, documentation, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Experience building collaborative relationships and explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences.
