Salary: $89,895 - $121,621 per year

What you will do
- Evaluate insurability for complex individual insurance applications including large cases, business, and estate planning scenarios.
- Make final underwriting decisions for life and disability insurance within specified dollar limits up to $5,000,000.
- Review medical and non-medical history, financial requirements, and legal documentation to assess risk.
- Partner with financial associates, medical, and legal consultants to determine optimal outcomes for members.
- Conduct quality audits on underwriting decisions and mentor less experienced team members.
- Contribute to field presentations and provide educational support to the team on a quarterly basis.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of individual holistic underwriting experience in the insurance industry.
- Broad perspective and understanding of the financial services industry.
- Familiarity with reinsurance, contract law, and regulations governing underwriting practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills for coaching, negotiation, and complex communication.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.

- Progression or attainment of FLMI and/or FALU designations.
